Beatrice Freedman

Beatrice Freedman is a multi-disciplinary artist from Hamilton, ON, specializing in both design and management for the theatre. Beatrice fell in love with theater production at 14, and every experience since has been seen through a theatrical lens. A degree in archeology from the University of Toronto deepened her appreciation of world-building, fine detail, and the importance of art and entertainment—which she draws on today in her craft. With a spirit of curiosity and connection, Beatrice has practiced her skill in nearly every aspect of production. At NTS, Beatrice has built upon her passion for stage management and lighting design and discovered a new and keen interest in video design and technical direction. She has had the privilege of working with directors Jillian Keilly, Cherissa Richards, Dean Fleming, and Danielle Irvine and has received invaluable mentorship from artists such as Terri Gillis, Paul Chambers, Andy Moro, Christine Oakey, and Cam Davis. Beatrice is especially interested in lending her skills & experience to the development of new musicals, young people’s theatre, and any story that needs to be told.
