Carter Gulseth

Carter Gulseth is a Canadian actor, writer, and singer born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia. He is passionate about sharing his love of and fascination with the construction and telling of stories, whether it be on the page, stage, or screen.

While studying at the National Theatre School of Canada (NTS), Carter has had the honor of working with such prominent Canadian artists as Graeme Somerville, Marla McLean, Jessica B. Hill, Tim Welham, Fiona Byrne, Ann-Marie MacDonald, Nancy Benjamin, and Alisa Palmer. As a member of the acting class there, he had the privilege of playing Buckingham in Richard III and the Mayor in Krista Jackson’s production of The Government Inspector. He also had the distinction of simultaneously performing in and penning the script for his class’ third-year premiere play, Deadline, under the direction of Cherissa Richards.

Before attending the National Theatre School, Carter achieved his BFA in theatre from the University of Victoria on Vancouver Island.

There is so much that storytelling can achieve in our ever more fractious world. Carter is eager to discover the multitude of ways in which he can help bring stories past, present, and future to life.
