Jake Geronimo

Jake Geronimo is a Filipino-Canadian artist set on performing for the stage and screen. Based in Montreal, Quebec, he is an avid actor, singer, and dancer who connects to the joy of telling compelling stories through the performing arts.
Studying at the National Theatre School of Canada (NTS), his recent work includes The Government Inspector, directed by Krista Jackson; Deadline, directed by Cherissa Richards; Richard III, directed by Danielle Irvine; and Attempts on her Life, directed by Rose Plotek. It is at NTS where Jake has deeply investigated his artistic engine, working with esteemed artists, including Jessica B. Hill, Graeme Somerville, Tim Welham, Rodrigo Beilfuss, Jonathan Patterson, Anita Nittoly, Rebecca Harper, Lauren Maykut, Leni Parker, and Nancy Benjamin, among many others.
The time he has spent at NTS has helped Jake deepen his relationship with his instrument, his artistry, and his identity, helping him to uncover the value of collaboration and honesty. Fusing his love of dance, movement, music, and storytelling, he brings a natural sensitivity and energetic playfulness to the stage. He is curious, funny, passionate, and driven, with an insatiable hunger to deepen his connection to his instrument and the world.
Jake is trained in the Campbellock, a street dance with its origins in the dance clubs of the 70s. He is also trained in stage combat—unarmed, rapier, dagger, and cloak.
With clear intentions in mind, body, and soul, Jake puts his trust in letting the future of his growth as a person and artist continue to reveal itself, striving not to impose on where the wind may next take him.
