Kritika Khanna

Kritika Khanna is an Indian-Canadian actor, dancer, choreographer, and creator, born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area. She is driven by her love of community, connection and has a great desire to share art that reflects the people we see in our communities. She believes that there is no ‘correct’ way to create art and draws from various experiences and knowledge she’s come across from around the world. 

During her 3 years at the National Theatre School of Canada, Kritika has had the honour of collaborating with several esteemed Canadian artists including Thomas Morgan Jones, Jessica B. Hill, Quincy Armorer, Graeme Somerville, Marla McLean, Brad Cook, Tawiah M’Carthy, Tim Welham, Nancy Benjamin and Jovanni Sy. In the course of her training, she has had the privilege of rendering roles such as, 4 (Forever Irene) in Jordan Tannahill’s Concord Floral; Hermia and Snug in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream; and Bastian in The Neverending Story. A few selected film and television credits include DOLLY, directed by Maya Rikhi; CYNARA (CNN documentary), directed by Sherien Barsoum; and SUPERPOWERED (Jenna Harder Productions). 

Kritika is a multilingual artist with fluency in English & Hindi, and proficiency in Punjabi. She is also a trained dancer with 14 years of experience in various styles including Bollywood, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Latin Ballroom. She has experience in teaching dance and intends to pursue a career in choreography along with acting in the future. She is trained in Unarmed, Single Rapier, and Rapier and Dagger Stage Combat techniques. 

Living life with a curious, excited, open, and determined mind is Kritika’s mantra as she navigates through this ever-changing and constantly evolving industry. She can’t wait to bring her skills and passion to every artistic endeavor she undertakes!
