Meg Gibson

Meg Gibson is an actor, visual artist, and singer/songwriter from Kingston, Ontario. She is constantly creating and being moved by what others create—particularly being drawn to the magic of theatre. She hopes to continue discovering meaning and joy through art and connecting people across experiences.
Meg is currently in her third and final year at the National Theatre School of Canada (NTS), where she played roles including Queen Elizabeth in Richard III and Dobchinsky in The Government Inspector. She also had the honor of working with artists that she is deeply inspired by, including Jessica B. Hill, Rodrigo Beilfuss, Nancy Benjamin, Krista Jackson, Danielle Irvine, and Thomas Morgan Jones. Outside of school, she has been involved with multiple fringe festival productions, such as playing Ash in Girls Unwanted and Crow in The Cape as Red as Blood, an original musical retelling of Little Red Riding Hood.
Meg took tap lessons for 15 years, contemporary for 4 years, and hip hop for 3 years. She is also trained in unarmed stage combat, as well as rapier, rapier and dagger, and rapier and dagger and cloak. She plays piano at an intermediate level and is a lyricist and composer. She has self-produced and released two albums since 2023, exploring themes of the beauty and the chaos of being alive.
Meg uses her art as a foundational tool for understanding the world around her. She is a curious and passionate artist, captivated by storytelling and the intersections of various art forms. She is fascinated by potential and the surprising nature of collaboration in theatre and strives to always continue learning.
