Sophie Mae Reppert

Sophie Mae Reppert is a proud New Yorker who spent the last decade working in Los Angeles in film and television before venturing to find further fulfillment in Canada! During her time in Los Angeles, she made her TV debut on Showtime’s The Affair and starred in the award-winning short film After Anyuta. She received a nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Short Film at the North Europe International Film Festival and then continued on to do several other short films, voiceover narrations, and commercials.

She grew up performing in regional theatres such as The Hangar Theater and The Kitchen Theater before attending Walnut Hill School for the Arts and then later The Theatre School at DePaul University where she worked with several talented Chicago artists including Jane Brody, Dexter Bullard, and Catherine Weidner.

Returning to school to attend the National Theatre School of Canada has been an incredible gift. To say it reignited her love for live theatre would be an understatement. While attending this program, she had the privilege of learning from such incredible artists as Sir Gregory Doran, Nancy Benjamin, Marla McLean, Graeme Somerville, and many others. While at school, she was lucky to portray several beautiful and complex characters, like Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Amanda Kellock and Old Woman in Yerma, directed by Thomas Morgan Jones.

Sophie is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hand-to-hand combat, single sword, and rapier/dagger. She loves to climb mountains, do laundry, and make elaborate finger puppet shows whenever she can.
